Enjoyed your reflections about hand-crafting. Since my younger days I have always loved working with my hands and with fiber. At eight I was taught how to do fine crochet from the nuns. Ever since, it has been a joy to explore many different crafts...at 79 I still get excited about a new project or technique.

Ooh, that joy of a newborn crafting idea! 😊
Could the word slojd be related to the English word sleight?
Ooh, interesting! After a quick search I see that sleight means cunning, and that it comes from Old Norse, so yes it seems it is related to slöjd.
I love your writing and am always inspired by you. One day I’d love to fly to Sweden and do a course with you
I'd be happy to have you!
What a marvellous crafting experience. I can only imagine what a buzz there must be with all of that creativity in one place!
Yes! It’s magical.
