Josefin I loved this so much. Your work is art. Oh my goodness! I love the thought of learning to do this just to have the art of doing it β€œin your hands.”

Thank you so much Kateri! The concept of being in your hands shifts the perspective, doesn’t it!

You are so gifted. This is such an exquisite piece...ancient to modern...past to present...then to now...it feels very liminal and yet grounded. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

Beautiful, Josefin! The antique linen reminds me of some fabric that's drifted through my family, originally from Sweden, with my great aunt's initials embroidered. Obviously handwoven, and at least 100 years old. Someone had dyed it pink, but I returned it to its natural color. I had thought I might use it for a tablecloth, but needed curtains behind my loom for the summer sun. I'm quite enchanted by the woven texture filtering the sun, and Selma Olson's initials are a personal connection. I have a few bits left over and want to make something wearable. Your bodice is inspiring!

Shivers! Shivers! Monograms as they are leave so many questions about who the owners were, and monograms of relatives is even more exciting!
